Contactadmin@bereel.app ResponseA few days Last updatedJuly 19, 2026

One inbox, read by a person. Below is how to reach us, and what to do about the handful of things that most often go wrong.

01 — Get in touch

One address. A person reads it.

Write to admin@bereel.app. There is no ticket system, no bot, and no phone line — BeReel is run by a small team and your email goes to us directly.

To get a useful answer on the first reply, tell us:

  • Your @username.
  • Whether you're on iPhone or Android.
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.

We aim to reply within a few days. If it's about a safety issue or something illegal, say so in the subject line and we'll move it to the front.

02 — Signing in

Codes, passwords, and locked-out accounts.

The verification code hasn't arrived. Check your spam folder first — it's almost always there. Codes are 8 digits and are sent as soon as you sign up. If nothing arrives after a few minutes, tap resend, and check the email address you typed was right.

You forgot your password. On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password?. We'll email you a code, and once you enter it you can set a new password.

You can't get in at all. Email us from the address the account was created with and we'll help. We can only act on requests that come from the account's own email address — otherwise anyone could take over someone else's account.

03 — Posting a reel

Recording, and what happens after you post.

There is no upload button, and that's deliberate. Every reel on BeReel is recorded in the app. You can't post a file from your camera roll, and neither can anyone else — it's the reason the feed is what it is. See the rules.

Your reel says "under review". Every reel is screened for unsafe content before anyone can see it. That's usually quick, but a longer video can take a while. Until it finishes, you'll see your own reel with a review label and nobody else will see it at all. You don't need to do anything.

The camera or microphone won't work. BeReel needs camera and microphone permission to record. If you declined it, the app can't ask again — grant it in your device settings, under BeReel.

The location sticker isn't finding you. It needs location permission, which you can grant in your device settings. BeReel only ever receives the place name, never your coordinates — see the Privacy Policy.

04 — Reels & accounts

When something is removed.

Your reel was removed. It broke the Community Guidelines, either at screening or after somebody reported it. If you think that's wrong, email us with your @username and we'll look at it again.

Your account was suspended. You'll see a screen explaining why when you open the app. A suspension is not a deletion — nothing has been erased, and it can be lifted. Reply to us and we'll review it.

Someone else's reel is a problem. Report it in the app rather than emailing us — reports go straight into the moderation queue with the reel attached, which is faster than anything we can do from an inbox.

05 — Reporting & blocking

The tools are in the app.

To report a reel, a comment, or an account, open the menu on it and choose Report. Pick the reason that fits. We review reports and act on them; the person you reported is not told who reported them.

To block someone, open their profile or any of their reels and choose Block. Blocking is a wall in both directions: you won't see them, they won't see you, and any follows between you are removed. They are not notified. You can undo it from Settings → Blocked accounts.

If you believe content on BeReel is illegal, or involves a child, email admin@bereel.app immediately and put it in the subject line.

06 — Your account

Changing it, or leaving.

Change your display name, bio, or photo from your profile, then Edit profile.

Turn notifications on or off — including which kinds you get — in Settings → Notifications.

Delete a reel from the menu on the reel itself. It disappears from BeReel straight away and is permanently erased within 90 days. You can't undo it and neither can we.

Delete your account from Settings → Delete account. Full detail, including what's erased and what we keep, is on the account deletion page.

07 — Bugs

Tell us. We'd rather know.

If something is broken, email admin@bereel.app with the subject "Bug report". Include your device, your BeReel version if you can find it, and what you were doing when it happened. A screenshot or screen recording helps more than a paragraph.

BeReel collects no analytics and no crash reports — there is no telemetry in the app watching what you do. The upside is that nothing about you is being measured. The downside is that if you don't tell us something is broken, we probably don't know.
