The fastest way, and the one we recommend.
If you can still sign in to BeReel, delete your account directly from the app:
- Open BeReel and make sure you're signed in.
- Tap your profile in the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap the settings gear in the top-right corner.
- Scroll down to the Account section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when we ask. This is the last step — after it, there's no undo.
You'll be signed out immediately, on every device. From that moment your profile, your reels and your comments stop being visible to anyone on BeReel.
If you've lost access to the app or your login.
Email admin@bereel.app with the subject "Delete my account", and include the @username on the account.
Send it from the email address the account was created with. For your security we only act on deletion requests that come from the account's own email address — otherwise anyone could delete someone else's account.
We action these within 30 days and reply to confirm. Deleting this way is identical to deleting in the app — same removal, same erasure timeline.
Everything that is you, and everything you made.
The moment you confirm, all of the following stops existing as far as BeReel and everyone on it is concerned:
- Your profile — username, display name, bio and avatar.
- Every reel you posted, along with its cover image.
- Your comments and replies, everywhere they appear.
- Your likes and follows, in both directions.
- Your watch history and the view records tied to your account.
- Your notification tokens — no device of yours can be reached again.
- Your login — you are signed out everywhere and cannot sign back in.
Nobody can find you, open your profile, watch your reels, read your comments, or contact you. Your @username is released and becomes available to someone else.
Only what the law requires, and nothing that identifies you.
Once the erasure below completes, the only things that survive are:
- Safety and legal records. Where we're legally required to — for example records relating to reports of illegal content, or moderation action taken on an account — we retain the minimum necessary, for only as long as the law requires.
- Anonymous aggregate statistics. Counts that can't be traced back to you or to any account, such as how many videos were posted in a given month.
We never sell your data, and we never use a deleted account's content to build a profile of you or to train anything.
Gone immediately. Erased within 90 days.
- Immediately — you're signed out on every device, and your account, reels and comments disappear from BeReel for everyone. Your @username is released.
- Within 90 days — everything listed above is permanently erased: the account record, every video and cover image in our storage, and all comments, likes, follows and view history attached to it.
The 90 days is not a restore window. Your account is unreachable from the moment you confirm and we will not reactivate it — not on request, not by mistake. The delay is our own safety margin: it lets an accidental deletion, or one made by somebody who got into your account, be caught before the data is gone for good.
Deletion cannot be undone. If you want your reels, save them before you delete — you won't be able to get them back afterwards.
Ask us before you delete, not after.
If you're unsure what deleting removes, or you want to check whether something can be resolved another way, write to admin@bereel.app first. We'll answer.
